Set in the courtyard of Palais de Tokyo, Rick Owens presented his Spring/Summer 2019 collection titled “BABEL”. Opening the show with blue fog and music from Estonian Rapper, Tommy Cash. The audience was greeted by the rapper himself in a tank top with scaffolding details and wide-legged trousers. Key pieces from “BABEL” includes tops and outerwear with ‘tent’ like structuring, cargo chaps and wide trousers with snap buttons and his second collaboration with Birkenstocks. In the midst of coloured fog, Rick Owens occasionally soothed us with models in drapey sequinned face masks.
