Ziggy Chen’s garments often speaks for itself; telling a story for all through his use of aged textures and unique yet identifiable fabrications. The designer’s inspiration for his work comes from Shanghai— the inextricable cultures of both old and new Shanghai, coupled with influences from the western world. The designer strikes an impeccable equilibrium between both extremes to bring about his latest collection for Autumn Winter 2019.
Made exclusively for L’armoire is the grey tactical hooded jacket, which comes equipped with several fully functional cargo pockets on its front and an adjustable drawstring hood. An observable contrast from the brand’s regular rugged style and deconstructed silhouette, Chen puts a fresh spin on its Autumn Winter outerwear series by introducing the use of Cupro particularly for this jacket.
Chen reimagines the bygone Chinese era in tangible forms, bringing forward old-world aesthetics into the modern age. The launch of this collection depicts a defining progression for the Chinese label; an effortless change no less, with the harmonious combination of its signature relaxed fits, long panelled shirts with tactical jackets and vest.
