Following the success of their first capsule collection that debut in June 2019, Champion and Rick Owens presents their second collaborative collection for Spring/Summer 2021. 

Celebrating Champion’s rich athletic heritage and Rick Owens’ signature contemporary aesthetic, the collection has been designed and developed for both men and women, carefully combining creativity and sustainability. Utilising Ancient Greece as an influence, Rick Owens has brought about these nuances to Champion’s sportswear archive. 

Using 100% organic cottons and recycled nylons, the collection was produced using predominantly locally sourced materials, whilst all packaging will incorporate plastic free, biodegradable materials and recycled paper. 

The collection continues with a strong monochrome colour palette with the addition of some subtle colour accents for this season, particularly light grey toned colour named ‘Oyster’. This season’s collaborative collection features sweatshirts, sweatpants, tees, shorts and even jockstraps, as well as accessories such as athletic-inspired caps, headbands and bucket hats, tote bags and pocket purses. Many pieces feature Rick Owens’ logo alongside the Champion branding that inspired it, while others prominently sport embroidery of Owens’ pentagram logo.
