Swaying/knit
A knitwear and fabric designer, Huang Shasha studied fashion fabrics at the London Fashion Institute. In 2017, she obtained a master degree with a major in knitwear from the Royal College of Art. Her work has been shortlisted on Vogue Italia and Vogue Talents in 2014 and 2017.
Her brand, Swaying/knit, reflects the movement when the body sways while using a knitting machine. It also represents the ease and joy of the designer’s knitting. Her work explores the inspiration behind the image of today’s modern women through the visual language, material juxtaposition and knitted structures.
