Founded by a New York based Chinese designer Rui Zhou, Rui explores the duality of things, relations between matters, in a philosophical manner. Drawn to the beauty of imperfection, Rui conveys the values of Japanese Wabi-Sabi’s aesthetics into her designs. Specialising in fabric manipulation, she turns bodysuits into wearable pieces of art. The softness and careful fragility of Rui’s compositions are met with powerful severity, revealing strength in their delicacy.
