8ON8
8ON8 is a menswear brand founded in 2017 by LI GONG. A graduate of Central Saint Martins Menswear, the designer was awarded the Grand Prix LVMH Scholarship during his master’s studies. He received unanimous praises from the America VOGUE commentary Sarah Mower, BOF, and other media at London Fashion Week. In 2019 and 2020, the brand was awarded the GQ China Present.
8ON8 is the designer’s interpretation of retro-futuristic and a mature youth culture aesthetics. It derived from the designer’s lens of a sense of time, integrating his imagination about a perfect life, and using daily life as a reference to construct an overhead idealistic world exclusive to the brand.
The brand combines functional high-end fabrics and traditional craftsmanship innovation, through extreme tailoring and the study of human body proportions, interweaving structured design with contemporary sports elements. Adopting rich colours to blend together to create a multi-layered sense in the plane vision, it enhances the brand’s sense of ready-to-wear while exploring more possibilities from the clothing to convey the unique aesthetic of 8ON8.
