Based in London with a background in jewellery design, Natasha Zinko’s eye for detail and innate design capabilities has led her to find her very own eponymous label in 2011. The Ukraine-born designer has been influencing the industry with her ready-to-wear collections, featuring bright, bold and playful creations since.

Apart from the playful and tongue-in-cheek approach to the designs, a notable mixture of silhouettes and fabric textures are evident in the collection— denim bustier, slinky silk camisole dresses, cotton tees as well as boxy asymmetrical suits are amongst the mix. Zinko’s recurring emoji motif embellished in this collection— both smiley and frowning faces sees itself printed on most of its pieces as well as headgear, stimulates an endless feast for the senses.

Hardly one to play it safe, Zinko seamlessly blended a digitally printed photograph she had taken personally as a part of her garments. One of the key pieces in this collection is the oversized denim jacket with a built-in pocket underneath the bright orange faux fur— displaying Zinko’s adeptness at combining different tactile pieces into brand new, must-have outerwears, while a set of blazer and skirt with asymmetrical hemlines and checked prints highlights one of the many ways the designer showcases how intentionally mismatched styles could actually fuse together favourably.
